We purchased a set of 6 Gazelle chairs and we couldn’t be happier! Nathan is professional and easy to work with. Most importantly, he is a master craftsman, the chairs are solid, unique and beautifully hand crafted. They look even better in person than they do in his pictures. We wanted comfortable and solid chairs, which turned out to be a difficult combination. His chairs fit the bill perfectly – the way he curves the wood makes them fit the body like a glove!
Each is a SCULPTURE – while they’re very comfortable and obviously useful, they’re exceptional pieces of art and beauty to behold. I like turning one 45 degrees and just looking at it, the lines are marvelous!
We got 2 chairs with arms for the captains chairs; they look lovely all together, and the arms are very graceful.

The furniture Nathan creates is simply impeccable! You can see his careful attention to detail, which we very much appreciate. The table and chairs created by Nathan are made with solid hardwoods throughout, using all sorts of strong and proven wood joinery, including tongue and groove, miter, mortise and tenon, and dowel joints. The fit and function of his Gazelle chairs are superior! Communication was excellent throughout the process and he accommodated all our changes in design to the smallest detail.
When it came to shipping the custom made table and chairs, great care was taken to pack everything so it would make the trip damage free.
No regrets! We had a great experience and will be commissioning Nathan in the near future for other high quality pieces of his quality furniture we like to call beautiful art!

Nathan made six walnut gazelle chairs with spalted maple ‘striping’ about two years ago to go with my spalted maple dining table. When I moved into a new home last month I needed a larger dining table for the space. I decided to order the ‘beetle-back’ table and had it made with the same type of woods. The table is stunning. The quality and wood grain is absolutely gorgeous.
